I graduated from Mineral Springs High School in 1993. In the fall of 1993 I began college at Texas A&M University in Texarkana. In December of 1997 I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Education with a specialization in Early Childhood and Special Education. After teachering at Mineral Springs Schools for eight years I decided to persue a Master's Degree. In 2009 I completed a Master's of Special Education at Southern Arkansas University. I began teaching at Nashville School District in the Fall of 2009. I worked in the Life Skills Classroom at the Nashville High School Campus before transferring tyo the Junior High Campus. I am currently the Special Education English Teacher at Nashville Junior High.
I am currently certified to teach Elementary K-6,Early Childhood, and Special Education K-12 in the state of Texas.
Also in the state of Arkansas I am certified to teach PreK-4 in the general classroom as well as Special Education K-12.
I joined the Nashville School Family in the Fall of 2009 at the High School campus teaching in the Life Skills classroom for 4 years. I am now on the Junior High Campus still in the Special Education Department teaching Resource English.
I began my teaching career by substituting for a semester after my college graduation. I then began teaching at Mineral Springs Schools in the Fall of 1998. I taught Elementary and Middle School Special Education classes there for 11 years until coming to Nashville. I am now beginning my 20th year.
I have been Married to Michael Hanney for 20 years. We were both born and raised in Howard County. However, I graduated from Mineral Springs High School and he graduated from Nashville High School. We have been truly blessed with two wonderful children. Katilynn Grace is 16 years old and going into the 11th grade. Wyatt Griffin is 11 years old and going into the 5th grade.
Taking care of my family and getting them to all of their activities is usually what I am doing, but for pure enjoyment I love top be creative with photography.
