The character education word of the month is cooperation. Cooperation is a group of people working together to accomplish a common goal. This means looking beyond and setting aside your own needs to contribute toward the benefit of the group.
You exhibit this characteristic by setting aside selfish feelings. When you realize that you can compromise a little for a greater benefit for the group, then you have cooperation down pat. This does not include simply following the group to gain acceptance, or putting aside moral beliefs.
Go the extra mile. It can be as simple as the lessons we learned in pre-school. Take turns. Share. Be willing to compromise. When we work together we can make big things happen.
